Cove Cleanup Scheduled For April 20, 2013

Mark your calendars, the 20th Annual Stillhouse Cove Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, April 20th, from 10am to 1pm (rain date: May 4th, 10am to 1pm). We always have to work around the tides and these Saturdays are our only options.

Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves, and be prepared to do a variety of jobs: pick up trash that washed in from Hurricane Sandy and the Blizzard of 2013; remove invasive vegetation; and possibly help plant plugs of switchgrass if the site preparation is complete at that time. Also, we need people to bring shovels to help clear the ditches of debris. We will provide water, sunscreen, and basic first aid.

School groups should pre-register or contact Barbara Rubine at 401-529-6643, or email at brubine@verizon.net.
