Invites are in the mail announcing a celebration in the park at Stillhouse Cove on Saturday, September 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. The Pawtuxet Rangers will be marching in to the cove area from the top of Windsor Road to begin the event. There will be food from a few merchants in the Village, a cake recognizing the creation of Stillhouse Cove Reservation in 1915, activities for children including a play, a storyteller, the Zoo Mobile, an antique fire truck, and music. The Edgewood Garden Club will be on hand to talk about their native flower garden, EWPA members will be available to talk about the restoration effort, and Joe’s Backyard Band will provide music for all to enjoy. The flags are up! Plans are being made. The event is free. (Streets around the cove will be closed to traffic so walking is highly recommended.
